ScripoTime is a Scripophily platform for financial history enthusiasts who appreciate the history and beauty of antique stock and bond certificates. My goal is to create a space where collectors, historians, and financial scholars can connect. Together, they explore the historical and economic value of these unique financial artifacts. With carefully selected resources, insightful articles, and a growing international community, ScripoTime helps bring scripophily to life. As a result, it encourages appreciation for the role these documents played in global financial history.

Meet the Founder

My name is Grégoire Peverelli. I am a Swiss student pursuing a Master’s degree in Financial History at the London School of Economics. Alongside my studies, I have worked in investment banking, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring. This combination of theory and practice has deepened my interest in historical financial instruments.

My Scripophily Journey 

Unlike many collectors, I didn’t grow up with scripophily. Instead, I discovered it by chance. While visiting the Maritime Museum in Hamburg, I came across a framed stock certificate from a long-closed shipping company. It wasn’t just paper—it was a piece of history. As I studied it, I imagined who once held it. Perhaps a hopeful investor. Or maybe a businessman planning his next venture. That moment sparked something in me. Unlike today’s digital assets, these certificates were tangible, personal, and rich with meaning.

Why ScripoTime?

That one moment led to years of research. I visited archives, spoke with collectors, and explored hidden parts of financial history. However, I soon noticed that younger generations rarely engaged with this world. Information was often scattered, and the community lacked visibility online. This inspired me to build ScripoTime. It’s a place where people can share, learn, and keep this legacy alive.

A Global Community

Today, ScripoTime is a trusted scripophily platform for collectors in over 15 countries. In 2024, we published 26 original articles. Each one highlights a forgotten chapter of financial history. With more than 50 active members, the platform continues to grow. Ultimately, ScripoTime exists to protect these documents and the stories they tell. They deserve to be preserved, shared, and passed on to the next generation.
